ingredients

  • 1 pint frozen or fresh fruit (see directions)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup Triple Sec, Grand Marnier, or other liquor
  • juice of medium lemon
  • Directions

In saucepan, place about 1 pint of frozen or fresh fruit (quartered if strawberries or something of that size). Strawberries, raspberries, mango, etc. can be used. Add ½ cup sugar, juice of medium lemon, and ¼ cup Triple Sec, Grand Marnier, or other liquor. Cook over low heat, to let juices come out. Blend with hand blender in saucepan, or transfer to Cuisinart or blender to blend. Strain (pushing down on fruit in strainer will speed this process). Can keep in refrigerator for a couple of weeks or more.
