Ruggles Butternut Squash

ingredients

  • butternut squash
  • 1/8 t black pepper
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 T butter
  • Graham Cracker crumbs, optional
  • Directions

    Peel, remove seeds, and boil or steam butternut squash until soft. Drain. Puree in Cuisinart. Add 1/8 teaspoon black pepper and ¼ t salt. Add ½ cup maple syrup and mix. Place in a Pyrex pan (for one squash, an 8x8 works well), drizzle with 1 T butter. Sprinkle crushed graham cracker crumbs (optional). Bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
