ingredients

  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar, heaping
  • 1 stick Crisco shortening
  • 2 Tbsps water
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1.5 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • .5 tsp salt
  • 3 cups Oats
  • 1.5 cups chocolate chips
  • Directions

    Cream together sugars, Crisco and water. Then add eggs and vanilla. Mix well. In a separate bowl, combine (I use wire whisk) flour, salt, cinnamon and baking soda. Slowly add to wet mixture. Then add Oats and finally chocolate chips.

    Convection bake at 350 degrees. Makes 4 dozen cookies (~1.5 Tbsp/cookie)
